Emiliano Godoy is a Mexican industrial designer, working for over 20 years in applied sustainability projects, using design as a tool for generating positive changes in society and the environment. He is also part of the design and manufacturing boutique Tuux, partner at Vissio, and a board member of the Abierto Mexicano de Diseño, an open-source design festival in Mexico City.
For his design work he has received numerous awards in competitions such as eleven Designpreis nominations (Frankfurt, 2011, 2014 and 2015); three Good Design Awards (Chicago, 2009, 2012); two National Selections and two Honorable Mentions for the Iberoamerican Design Biennial (Madrid, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014); a Bronze Leaf at IFDA (Asahikawa, 2005); two awards at the National Design Biennial (Mexico City, 2001, 2007); four Quorum awards (Mexico City, 2012, 2013); and a Conduit Award (New York, 2005). In 2011 his Knit Chair was included in the permanent collection of MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York.) In 2015 his Pedro and Pablo bowls were included in the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (New York).
In 2018 with Tuux he received an award for Interior Design, as well as an award for Design for/with Culture, at the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño (Madrid, 2018) for the project Museo de las Constituciones.
