“Stickbulb ticks all the boxes with an elegant, sustainably sourced building block system which offers endless customization potential.”
STICKBULB, founded in 2012, makes illuminated structures in NYC out of wood from locally demolished buildings, dismantled water towers, fallen trees, and sustainably managed forests. The studio is an industry leader in sustainable practice, representing the United States at “Broken Nature” at the XXII Triennale di Milano in 2019, and has received international accolades including the NYCxDESIGN Award for Best in Show and the Red Dot Award.
Creative Director Russell Greenberg and Managing Partner Christopher Beardsley combine their mutual love of architecture and sustainable manufacturing in this meticulously crafted system of modular parts that seamlessly scales from small desk lamps through to room-filling custom installations.
STICKBULB is a creation of RUX Studios, an NYC-based multi-disciplinary team dedicated to merging art with activism where Greenberg acts as Founder and Creative Director and Beardsley as Managing Partner.
