“Harry Nuriev, the founder of Crosby Studios is both/and; filling his monochromatic, minimalist environments with his signature maximalist furnishings and lighting, he creates experiences as much as he does objects.”
Crosby Studios was founded in 2014 by Harry Nuriev, an architect and designer from Moscow. His first home goods collection and pop-up installation for Opening Ceremony erased the borders between fashion and design, allowing visitors to expand their understanding and horizons. Nuriev’s long-term collaboration with Nike highlighted the most significant of the brand’s innovations in eco-conscious design and recycled materials and his conceptual, sustainable furniture installation designed for French fashion house Balenciaga invited people to rethink their consumer approach.
The New York Times Style Magazine heralded Harry Nuriev as a pioneering voice in global minimalism citing the distinctive influence of his designs. Crosby Studios uses minimalism as a philosophical framework, marrying geometric primaries with crisp logic, creating invigorating and exuberant interiors and furnishings that serve as vehicles for much broader ideas about how we live and work.
